Pennsylvania’s Contractor and Sub-Contractor Payment Act (CASPA) legislation was amended on June 12, 2018 and includes some significant changes directly affecting the construction industry.

Ronald L. Williams is co-chair of the Construction Law Group at Fox Rothschild LLP, a national law firm with more than 800 attorneys in 21 offices coast to coast. He focuses his practice on construction litigation and the negotiation of major construction contracts. Ron has significant experience analyzing the risks and costs in large-scale projects and is frequently sought after to serve in a consulting role when disputes arise. In his three decades of litigation in the state and federal courts, Ron has established a track record of success in prosecuting and defending construction defect claims against builders and developers. His experience includes claims involving structural components, water penetration and mold, product performance and insurance coverage issues. Ron also handles a wide range of complex commercial litigation and class actions, including medical monitoring and claims for property and personal injury loss. He is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Construction Litigation Committee, the Pennsylvania Bar Association Federal Practice Committee and the Construction Financial Management Association. He also serves on Fox’s Litigation Training Committee. Outside the office, Ron volunteers at the local senior center where he also serves as board president.
